ZF Race Reporter Videos Highlight Pit Stops, Atherton Discusses 2015 TUDOR Championship, Shank Switches from DP to Ligier

 

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Jan. 24, 2015) – ZF Friedrichshafen AG today launched the first installment of its popular ZF Race Reporter video series as part of the 2015 the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship season at Daytona International Speedway.

During the Rolex 24 At Daytona, pit crews will do many as 20 pits stops during that 24-hour period. Careful fueling and tire changes all need to be orchestrated as fast as possible, while the driver exchange all need to be completed in about two minutes. ZF Race Reporter John Hindhaugh talks with Don Kitch, Team Seattle Heart of Racing team manager, about how important pit stops are to getting their car to victory circle. Daytona kicks off the 12-race TUDOR United SportsCar Championship calendar. With a new season, comes new changes within the series and new race venues. The third video features Grant Stoddard, who was selected to be the ZF Fan Reporter. After submitting a question to the ZF.com website, he got the opportunity to come to Daytona International Speedway to interview Michael Shank about his decision to change from the Daytona Prototype to the new Ligier. The ZF Race Reporter series will kick-off at the 53rd running of the Rolex 24 Hours At Daytona. IMSA Radio’s own John Hindaugh will host team owners, drivers, IMSA officials and fans talking about everything surrounding the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship.
